Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a Test Technician in Dixon, IL for the first shift (4:00 am – 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday). You will perform detailed test duties on Aerospace Hydraulic components and assemblies to support plant operations.

Responsibilities include testing, data analysis, and assisting in installing units in test fixtures to determine conformity with Acceptance Test Requirements. A high school diploma and 3+ years in manufacturing testing are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years in a test technician role in manufacturing.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge with hydraulic experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Self-starter focused on completing objectives.
• Understanding of customer and company requirements a plus.
• AS9100 knowledge or aerospace environment preferred.

The Test Technician position is located in Dixon, IL. Performs detailed or routine test technician duties, including testing Aerospace Hydraulic components, assemblies, and products to support the plant operations. This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, 4:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Role Responsibilities

• Testing and Operation of Aerospace Hydraulic components, Electrical assemblies, and products, applying knowledge of mechanical components, Electrical, hydraulics, and hydraulic manifold assemblies.
• Record and analyze test data to determine if the product meets the Acceptance Test Requirements
• Coordinates and participates in installing the unit or system to be tested in test fixtures, connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power source, and indicating instruments to determine compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education consisting of a high school diploma/GED
• Minimum of three years of experience working in a test technician role in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical/Electrical knowledge, hydraulic experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Self-starter motivated by completion of objectives tied directly to company goals
• Strong attention to detail, decision-making skills, and problem-solving ability
• Demonstrated ability to learn, understand, and uphold Customer and Company requirements
• Knowledge of AS9100 or related Aerospace working environment (preferred)
• Experience in complex parts and production operations

Hourly Rate

$21.31

Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
