Job summary

John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. seeks an Assistant Quality Systems Manager to support the management, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality and food safety programs at the Bainbridge facility in Georgia.

You will help develop policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and support CAPA investigations and corrective actions across cross-functional teams. You will lead through collaboration with the Quality Systems Manager, guiding performance management, training, and adherence to SQF

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field is required.
• Minimum of four years in quality operations within a food manufacturing environment.
• PCQI certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction, guidance, and support to the EMP Quality Supervisor, including performance management and coaching.
• Develops, implements, and maintains quality and food safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Ensures food safety plans are maintained, verified, and updated; monitors CCPs, PCs, and prerequisite programs for compliance.
• Leads CAPA activities and ensures timely completion and verification of effectiveness.
• Collaborates with plant departments and senior leadership to improve quality of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Conducts SQF, regulatory, and customer audits and ensures timely resolution of findings.
• Investigates customer complaints and provides timely responses and root cause analysis.
