Job summary

Great Dane in Alabama seeks a Quality Manager to own and govern the plant's Quality system under the Plant Manager and Corporate Director of Quality. You will lead QA/QC, develop KPIs, drive Lean improvements, and coordinate cross-functional actions to assure product reliability and cost control.

Responsibilities include developing the quality program, guiding Lean initiatives, analyzing data, and supporting manufacturability reviews with the QA/Eng teams.

Qualifications

• Education: bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• 3–5 years of related experience or training in quality/CI.
• Experience leading quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive quality management program (QA and QC) for the plant.
• Collaborate with leadership to plan, execute, and oversee the quality program.
• Define strategies and KPIs; drive Lean and continuous improvement.
• Lead data analysis and SPC to determine standards and reliability targets.
• Review manufacturability and tolerances with Eng/QA to support cost-effective production.
• Coordinate training on quality and reliability; resolve customer quality concerns.
