Job summary

Kiewit, based in Lenexa, KS, seeks a Quality Assurance Lead to report on quality performance across projects and coordinate with customers, vendors and subcontractors. This role involves leading QA/QC activities, standardizing procedures, and ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System.

The position requires a four-year engineering or science degree plus construction experience, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to travel as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Engineering or science degree or technical college degree required.
• Two years of related construction field experience preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain effective communications with district management, project teams and clients.
• Inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost-saving measures; take corrective action.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them.
• Maintain knowledge of the Quality Management System and promote standardization.
• Manage Welding Procedure Specification logs for assigned districts and files.
• Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports.
