Employment Solutions of New York, Inc. partners with Wallingford-based international company to hire a Quality Manager who will lead the quality lab team and ensure labs operate efficiently and in line with business standards.

The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing product quality, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to strategic quality initiatives as a site leadership team member.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Biosciences, or other technical field.
• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing or research environment.
• Good knowledge of project and reliability tools, Six Sigma, SPC, TPM, LEAN, Root Cause Analysis e.g., 8D.
• Structured thinking, with an aptitude for analysis and decision-making based on facts and data.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, work collaboratively and take a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate quality and quality control, supervising staff in tests and checks.
• Ensure that analytical tests, calibrations, procedures, methods, and measurements are followed and evaluated.
• Collect and analyze performance data; report quality KPIs monthly.
• Promote quality improvement across site; provide solutions to boost productivity.
• Lead ISO certifications and maintain QMS documentation; act as site management rep.
• Partner with site management to oversee quality operations and KPIs for BU.
• Use Process Reviews, SPC/SQC, Value Stream Mapping, FMEA, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, RCA, 5S to drive improvements.
