Job summary

Pave Talent is partnering with an established manufacturer to hire a hands-on Quality Manager to lead people, strengthen daily quality practices, and collaborate with operations and engineering to improve how products are made.

You may have already managed a quality team or be a Quality Engineer ready for formal leadership; what matters is technical judgment, follow-through, and helping others perform at their best on the factory floor. This position is on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, physics, or closely related technical discipline.
• Approximately five years of manufacturing and quality experience, including hands-on quality engineering responsibilities.
• Experience supporting manufactured components or assemblies in a structured quality environment.
• Ability to turn a technical problem into a clear action plan and work across departments to resolve it.
• Evidence of leadership through managing people, mentoring colleagues, training teams, or leading improvement projects.
• Interest in an on-site manufacturing leadership role; Prior Quality Manager experience welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a quality function and have a direct impact on manufacturing performance.
• Stay close to the production floor while developing people-management skills.
• Bring ideas from a structured manufacturing environment and help put them into practice.
• Work with leadership on practical improvements that make a measurable difference.
• Lead and develop quality personnel, set priorities, and follow through on daily commitments.
• Partner with production and engineering to investigate problems and implement lasting corrective actions.
• Strengthen supplier quality through qualification, feedback, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Oversee inspection activities and help teams apply quality requirements consistently.
• Train and coach employees on procedures, standards, and effective quality practices.
• Use quality data to identify recurring issues, reduce avoidable cost, and improve production results.
