PCT Ebeam and Integration in Davenport, IA seeks a Quality Manager. This position collaborates across all departments to identify opportunities, analyze performance, and design and implement solutions that strengthen organizational effectiveness. This position has overall accountability for the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) and leads the integration of the four pillars of quality: Quality Planning, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Improvement.

The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing a dynamic quality framework that promotes product quality, process consistency, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines strategic planning with day‑to‑day tactical execution in a project‑based manufacturing environment, requiring strong cross‑functional collaboration and accountability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Define and drive a culture of quality focused on continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools such as Lean and Six Sigma, tailored to a low-to-medium volume, high‑mix engineering environment.
  • Create all foundational quality processes such as document control, standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, corrective and preventative action (CAPA) process, and other quality processes designed to gain efficiency and optimization.
  • Establish, monitor, and report meaningful KPIs, including corrective action closure time, cost of poor quality, and other key operational measures. Connect operational metrics through clear cause‑and‑effect relationships to demonstrate their impact on financial performance, ensure continuous improvement is measurable and actionable, and provide leadership with clear evidence of business value.
  • Establish and maintain consistent, professional, and scalable documentation standards across the organization that support the complexity of custom products and the needs of a growing company.
  • Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) effectively establishes, implements, and maintains compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer specifications across products, manufacturing processes, and applications.
  • Evaluate, review and audit customer deliverables ensuring compliance with internal benchmarks, contractual requirements, technical specifications, and legalities.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive calibration program to ensure all physical inspection, measurement, and test equipment is properly identified, maintained, and calibrated at defined intervals in accordance with OEM requirements and applicable quality standards.
  • Ensure an appropriate and comprehensive ECR process is established and followed by Production, Engineering and Supply Chain.
  • Support Production, Engineering, Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and document change requests (ECR), non‑conformance issues (NCR), and corrective actions (CAR). In matters of contest, responsible for escalating decision for resolution.
  • Serve as primary quality interface with customers – respond to quality supplier qualification requests, host customer audits, respond to CARs, and capability studies.
  • Contribute to the supplier qualification process to ensure suppliers align with internal quality and compliance standards.
Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or quality management and 5+ years of quality engineering/quality management experience within an OEM, contract manufacturer, or a precision engineering environment preferred. Understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and inspection of machined and fabricated parts. Thorough knowledge and application of core advanced quality planning tools (ex. FMEA, Control Plans, CAPA, SPC, or MSA). Experience performing and leading internal audits. Comfortable working side‑by‑side with design engineers, fabricators, and assemblers on the shop floor. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical theory. Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or CQE, CQA certification is preferred, but not required. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and project/resource management software.
