Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Maryland seeks a Quality Manager 2nd Shift to lead a unionized team, drive quality, cost and schedule targets, and push continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with engineering and programs to ensure product quality and efficient production.

You will guide ISO/LEAN activities, document processes, and manage SAP/MES transactions while maintaining strong communication and leadership across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of quality/manufacturing experience, Master's with 3 years, Associate with 7 years, or 9 years in lieu of degree.
• Available for 2nd Shift.
• Experience with leading teams and/or integrated projects.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Managing approximately 15–20 represented (union) employees.
• Driving the team to achieve monthly delivery objectives per programs.
• Leading continuous improvement or lean projects.
• Directing assessment, IBASE, inventory issues, and related tasks.
• Interfacing with engineering and programs during major production phases.
• Supporting ISO, LEAN, and Quality initiatives.
• Documenting and standardizing tasks and efforts.
• Interacting with Labor Relations and ensuring policy compliance.
• Designing inspection and testing processes and performing quality analyses.
