Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Sr Principal Engineer Quality (2nd Shift) to lead quality systems, audits, and corrective actions across production lines. You will apply PFMEA, control plans, and QC tools, review contracts and drawings against IPC/MIL-STD standards, and partner with engineering and manufacturing to ensure product quality.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance;

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in a STEM field with relevant experience in quality, manufacturing, process, electrical or mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems.
• Audit quality systems and drive corrective actions for continual process improvement.
• Review contracts/SOWs/drawings to evaluate, interpret and apply standards (IPC, MIL-STD, J-Std).
• Interface with production-floor roles and communicate with all stakeholders.
• Identify and remove barriers to quality improvement through root-cause analysis and corrective-action planning.
