Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Manager 2 in Linthicum, MD to lead quality engineers and inspectors in the SubArray Cell. You will establish QA processes, oversee testing and inspection, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with program leadership.

The role requires a strong background in quality/manufacturing, team leadership, and the ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearance; an active Secret clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years in quality/manufacturing, or Master’s with 6 years in quality/manufacturing, or 12 years in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 3 years experience leading a team or direct supervision.
• Experience generating resource cost estimates.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Establish processes to develop and maintain quality evaluation systems and protocols.
• Devise and implement inspection and testing methods to ensure product and equipment accuracy.
• Design and analyze QA processes, mechanisms and equipment.
• Lead root cause/corrective action teams and ensure compliant documentation.
• Manage budgets for staff certifications and training including NDT/auditing.
• Communicate with site leadership to identify and mitigate quality concerns.
• Coordinate with programs to ensure adequate allocations.
• Apply extensive technical experience to solve complex problems with minimal direction.
• Oversee Continuous Improvement programs.
