Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Sr Principal Engineer Quality (2nd Shift) in Baltimore, MD. You will develop and maintain quality control systems, partner with engineering and manufacturing to uphold standards, and lead audits and corrective actions to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field with 8+ years in Quality/Manufacturing/Process/Engineering; Master’s degree with 6+ years is acceptable.
• Experience with Data Analytics and Statistical Analysis methods.
• Experience with IPC, J-Std, MIL-STD or similar standard.
• Experience in PFMEA or other risk analysis methodologies.
• Experience facilitating RCCAs with technical groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols.
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing to uphold quality standards.
• Design, analyze, and implement inspection/testing processes; conduct QA tests and statistical analyses.
• Audit quality systems; drive corrective actions and continual improvement.
• Interpret drawings/specifications to verify design compliance; apply standards.
• Interface with production roles and communicate with stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional containment for nonconformances and product compliance.
• Develop and validate control plans and work-instruction updates.
• Create and interpret quality-control tools; benchmark for system-wide improvements.
