Job summary

Inalfa Roof Systems Cherokee Assembly in the United States seeks a Plant Quality Manager to lead the quality organization on the shop floor. You will direct internal quality processes, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 requirements.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering or manufacturing operations, at least five years of quality supervisory experience, and auditor certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in Engineering or Manufacturing Operations.
• Five years minimum quality supervisory experience.
• TS16949/ISO 14001 Auditor Certification.
• VDA Auditor and ASQ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Plant Quality Manger Department: Operations Reports To: Plant General Manager FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and directs maintenance of internal quality systems and quality processes. The Plant Quality Manager communicates corrective actions to the customer, establishes effective containment, and verifies corrective action effectiveness. Directs the daily quality activities on the production to ensure compliance to internal and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and maintain system for statistical reporting of product compliance.
• Supervises the internal audit process.
• Develop and maintains internal audit plan
• Monitor and Control internal audits program
• Supervises the internal audit process.
• Maintains Corrective Action Program
• Facilitate PFMEA & Control Plan reviews
• Supports Supplier Development and SQE activities.
• Coordinates Receiving Inspection activities
• Supports Receiving Inspection Management at plant level.
• Develop and implement Performance training for Quality Associates
• Monitor the Quality Management System
• Single point contact for External IATF16949 Audits
• Single point contact for External ISO 14001 Audits
• Support all launch activities
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Support 6s standards
• Develop and implement new quality procedures
• Facilitate Continuous improvement activities
• Assign and Monitor Quality Techs daily tasks
• Report out weekly quality performance to upper management
• Facilitate Risk Assessment activities
• Monitor and Control Quality Hold activities
• Facilitate weekly Material Review Board - MRB
• Supervises and evaluates plant quality personnel performance
• Supervises the product and process activity
• Supervises and maintains the corrective action system
• Maintains associated budgets
• Supervises the internal audit process
• Supervises the warranty and return sales activity
• Prepares management and customer reports
• Supervises the inspection laboratory
• Maintains and follows all system procedures and policies
• Responsible for CCC / CCAP certification .
• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Engineering Supervisor, Product/process Auditors, CMM Technicians, Receiving Inspectors, Quality Engineers
• MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting every change that has been done to CCC / CCAP scope (certificate extension, change modifications, suspension, cancellation or withdrawal)
• Any changes to be announced to the Chinese certification authority.
• THE QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER SHALL ENSURE: That the requirements of China's Implementation Rules for CCAP Mark Certification of Motor Vehicle Products (for interior trim parts: CCAP-GZ-5101:2019) are fulfilled and that the complete implementation is secured and adjusted periodically according to the given changes. That the CCAP certified products at all times comply with the Chinese product standard (for interior trim parts: GB 8410-2006) That a procedure exists that controls the labeling of the product with the CCAP logo That a procedure exists which controls the marking of the CCAP logo, and assures that it is not applied on faulty or non-certified products. The procedure must also make sure that the logo cannot be put on any products that have been modified after certification without an adjustment of the certificate.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Minimum of B.S. Degree (Engineering or Manufacturing Operations Preferred).

Five years minimum quality supervisory experience.

TS16949/ISO 14001 Auditor Certification.

VDA Auditor (Preferred)

Proficient with Microsoft Office Software.

ASQ certification (Preferred)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Have the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public effectively.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

IATF 16949/ ISO14001 / ISO 45001 RESPONSIBILITIES

Adhere to all IATF16949 (Quality) / ISO14001 (Environmental) / ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) procedures as related to the operations department function.
