Job summary

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, seeks a Quality Manager at our Rhinelander location. You will lead quality initiatives across lab operations, ISO management, and continuous improvement while partnering with plant leadership to protect customers and empower the team.

You will drive ISO 9001/22000 compliance, manage calibration and testing, and develop a high-performing quality team to ensure products meet the highest standards for customers you already know and trust.

Qualifications

  • Quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 system administration.
  • Experience with Food Safety systems (ISO 22000, SQF, or equivalent).
  • Working knowledge of statistical quality control and lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and continually improve ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 Quality Management Systems.
  • Oversee QC Lab operations, calibration programs, and test method development.
  • Drive customer complaint resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Manage supplier quality issues and incoming material performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across the plant.
  • Support new product commercialization by establishing quality standards from development through launch.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing quality team.
  • Serve as the plant's primary quality contact for customers, auditors, and suppliers.

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, is looking for a Quality Manager to join our team at our Rhinelander location. In this role, you'll lead quality initiatives, support a great team, and help ensure the products we produce meet the highest standards for customers you already know and trust.

About the Role

Are you a quality leader who thrives at the intersection of systems, people, and manufacturing excellence? As our Quality Manager, you'll serve on the Plant Leadership Team and own the quality function at the facility level - from lab operations and customer relationships to ISO management systems and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact leadership role where you expertly directly protects our customers, empowers our associates, and drives operational performance.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and continuously improve ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 Quality Management Systems

What You Bring
  • Quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 system administration
  • Experience with Food Safety systems (ISO 22000, SQF, or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of statistical quality control and lean manufacturing principles
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Standard Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility for plant operations, audits, and customer needs
  • Ability to stand, walk, and navigate manufacturing areas; lift upto 50lbsoccasionally; PPErequiredin designated areas (hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes)
  • Travel: Up to 25% (customer visits, supplier visits, audits, cross-site activities)
