Job summary

Printpack is seeking a Quality Manager for our Grand Prairie, TX plant to lead the quality function across lab operations, customer relationships, and ISO systems. You will drive continuous improvement and coordinate with plant leadership to protect customers and improve performance.

Lead the quality team, manage supplier quality, and act as the primary quality contact for customers and audits. This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• ISO 9001 quality management system administration and auditing experience.
• Food safety systems knowledge (ISO 22000, SQF, or equivalent).
• Experience with statistical quality control and lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 Quality Management Systems.
• Oversee QC Lab operations, calibration programs, and test method development.
• Drive customer complaint resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Manage supplier quality issues and incoming material performance.
• Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across the plant.
• Support new product commercialization by establishing quality standards from development through launch.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing quality team.
• Serve as the plant's primary quality contact for customers, auditors, and suppliers.

What You Do

What You Bring

• Quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 system administration
• Experience with Food Safety systems (ISO 22000, SQF, or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of statistical quality control and lean manufacturing principles

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Standard Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility for plant operations, audits, and customer needs
• Ability to stand, walk, and navigate manufacturing areas; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; PPE required in designated areas (hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes)
• Travel: Up to 25% (customer visits, supplier visits, audits, cross-site activities)
