Job summary

Syensqo is seeking a Quality Lab Technician for rotating 12-hour shifts at Willow Island, WV to perform accurate QC testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure specifications and regulatory standards are met. You will document results, support HSE and QA initiatives, help maintain certifications (ISO, GMP, AS9100), and collaborate with a small team of local staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, with 1–2 years related experience; Associate or Bachelor’s in Chemistry preferred.
• Proficiency in general laboratory skills: Data analysis, pipetting, safety and cleanliness in a lab, understanding of chemistry, and instrumentation testing.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with local staff.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a small office environment where coworkers assist each other as needed.
• Familiarity with basic scientific principles and laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and reproducible QC testing on raw materials and finished products.
• Safeguard against non-conforming materials reaching customers by performing all QC tests as directed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation and data from all laboratory tests.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement of QC processes and the work environment.
• Support Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Quality, and Operation Improvement plans to support site objectives.
• Assist in maintaining site certifications (ISO, GMP, AS9100).
• Carry out additional testing and tasks as assigned by laboratory supervision.
