Job summary

Quaker Houghton is seeking an entry-level lab associate to conduct tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure quality and consistency. You will calibrate equipment, maintain a clean lab, and assist in investigations while adhering to ISO standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Microbiology or related hard science preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong prioritization and communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Test raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods against established specifications.
• Notify relevant business partners of any non-conforming materials or products.
• Record and report results clearly and promptly in accordance with SOPs and guidelines.
• Calibrate measuring equipment according to the prescribed schedule.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and workspace in a clean, organized condition.
• Participate in root cause investigations and assist in adjusting out-of-specification batches.
• Follow ISO quality and environmental standards as outlined in procedures.
