Carpenter Technology Corporation’s Tanner, AL facility is seeking a Technician for the Quality Chemical Lab to support alloy analysis and material testing. You will prepare specimens, run instrumental analyses, and ensure data integrity in the lab management system.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years of lab experience, plus mechanical skills for maintenance and the ability to work under supervision while maintaining a safe, efficient laboratory environment.

Competenze

High school diploma is required.
1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
Mechanical skills for routine maintenance and instrument repairs.
Experience with optical emission spectrometers and LIMS.
Ability to operate computer workstations and the LIMS system.

Mansioni

Based on working knowledge of machinery, performs diversified tasks related to preparation and analysis of steel, alloy, and slag specimens.
Inspect test specimens for quality and request replacements as needed.
Prepare test specimens using equipment such as abrasive saws, grinders and drills.
Maintain instruments (OES, N/O fusion, and related systems) and document data in SOP intervals.
Review data and apply corrections using certified reference materials or statistics.
