Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking a Quality Laboratory Assistant to support quality assurance by performing laboratory testing, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring products meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with MS Office, SAP, and statistical software.
• Ability to read safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Test raw materials, finished products, and competitor products against specifications.
• Release or reject raw materials based on requirements.
• Operate quality testing equipment as needed.
• Enter test findings into SAP and other data systems.
• Report testing results to relevant personnel.
• Assist staff in identifying and reporting quality issues.
• Process non-conforming materials and communicate findings.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
• Follow new testing procedures and lab equipment after training.
• Represent the quality team and promote quality and professionalism.
• Foster teamwork across production, quality, sales, logistics, and customer service.
• Act as deputy for the Quality Manager when needed.
• Cover colleague absences on overtime.
