Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Technician to perform lab and field testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. You will collect samples, document results, and support quality objectives across production and shipping teams.

The role requires following testing procedures, maintaining records, and communicating results effectively. A safety-focused mindset and ability to work in varied environments are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Quality control or materials testing experience preferred in aggregates or construction materials.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow testing procedures and maintain records.
• IDOT certification preferred.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Collect, prepare, and analyze samples in laboratory and field environments.
• Document and communicate test results to support objectives.
• Monitor production quality trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate sample collection with operations and shipping teams to maintain quality and compliance.
