Job summary

Sofidel America, a leading tissue manufacturer, is hiring a Quality Supervisor for its Haines City, FL site. You will oversee QA activities, ensure QMS compliance, and support audits while coordinating with production to maintain product quality.

Ideal candidates hold a Quality or Engineering degree with 3+ years in QA, familiarity with ISO 9001, BRCGS, HACCP, and SAP. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related technical field (preferred).
• 3+ years in quality assurance, preferably in manufacturing or paper/tissue production.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, BRCGS Systems and HACCP principles.
• Familiarity with internal and external audit processes; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the site Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO 9001 and BRCGS standards.
• Supervise daily quality control activities, including product testing and defect elimination.
• Perform routine internal inspections and assist with external audits.
• Review quality reports and assist with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans.
• Maintain laboratory operations and calibrate testing equipment.
• Monitor product quality performance and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with production to address non-conformities and promote quality awareness.
• Assist in training and development of quality technicians and operators.

Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, is a leading manufacturer of tissue paper products for hygienic and household use. We are currently seeking a Quality Supervisor to join our Haines City, FL team. We are looking for a hands on, detail oriented leader who is interested in a long term opportunity with a stable and growing organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the site Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and BRCGS Consumer Product standards.
• Supervise daily quality control activities, including product testing, documentation, and defect elimination processes.
• Perform routine internal inspections and assist with external audits.
• Review quality reports and assist with corrective and preventive action plans.
• Maintain laboratory operations, ensuring proper use and calibration of testing equipment.
• Monitor product quality performance and support process improvements to meet specifications.
• Collaborate with production teams to address non-conformities and promote quality awareness.
• Assist in the training and development of quality technicians and operators.
• Ensure compliance with company safety and product safety requirements.
• Support the Quality Director with reporting, analysis, and other assigned duties.

Job Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably within manufacturing or paper/tissue production.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, BRCGS Systems and HACCP principles.
• Familiarity with internal and external audit processes.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
