Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA seeks a Quality Inspector II to ensure incoming shipments and manufactured products meet customer and company standards.

You will inspect cases and parts, mentor others, collect data, measure to blueprints, and work with the Quality team on audits. A high school diploma with 3+ years experience and strong communication are required; AS400 and Excel skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years related experience and/or training.
• 2+ years experience with measuring equipment calipers, protractors, micrometers.
• 2+ years using and interpreting part/assembly blueprint tolerances and specifications to determine conformance to requirements.
• AS400 Experience.
• ASQ Certification(s) beneficial, Electronics and Mechanical systems.
• Excel, Word and Power point computer applications.
• Experience in auditing process and products.
• Ability to input data into spreadsheet form and perform calculations such as Mean and Standard Deviation on the dataset and make decisions based on results.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality and performance procedures are followed in a clean, safe environment.
• Data collection and charting.
• Measure parts to prints using calipers, micrometers, and other precise tools.
• Load and test products.
• Collaborate with Quality team on case lineups, audits, and inspections.
• Be a team player with good collaboration skills.
• Resolve supplier invoice/product discrepancy errors with other departments.
• Follow emergency evacuation procedures and maintain organized storage locations.
• Perform material handling duties as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.
