Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a 2nd shift Quality Inspector in Texas to inspect ship loose kits, perform detailed product inspections, and document technical characteristics. You will initiate quality notifications for non-conforming items and support early issue detection, ensuring accurate measurement with calipers and micrometers.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with relevant inspection experience, basic math skills, and proficiency with SAP.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED with 1 year of related experience.
Experience inspecting manufactured parts and using blueprints/specifications.
Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers).

Responsibilities

Inspect ship loose kits and perform kitting.
Perform detailed in-process and finished goods inspections, including First Article inspections.
Document characteristics with technical detail.
Initiate Quality Notifications for non-conforming products.
Apply QA procedures to inspections and document reviews.
Identify quality issues early and prevent their occurrence.
Communicate quality issues to Collins teams.
Monitor calibrated measuring instruments.
Work varying shifts or overtime as required.
