Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the United States is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform detailed inspections of ship loose kits and in-process components. You will document product characteristics, initiate non-conformity notifications, and apply QA procedures to hardware inspections.

The role requires basic math, blueprints literacy, and precision measurement with micrometers and calipers. The position may require varying shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) or vocational/technical education with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience performing manufacturing or product inspections using blueprints and specifications.
• Experience measuring with micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect ship loose kits and kit parts.
• Perform detailed product inspections on in-process and finished goods, including First Article Inspections.
• Document characteristics accurately with technical detail.
• Initiate Quality Notifications for non-conforming products.
• Apply QA procedures to inspection of hardware and document reviews.
• Identify potential quality issues early and help prevent occurrences.
• Communicate QA findings to Collins Aerospace personnel for resolution.
• Monitor calibrated measuring instruments.
• Safely perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work varying shifts or overtime as required.
