Job summary

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector I to support site manufacturing through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes, with the goal of meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality.

The role involves hands-on inspection using calipers, micrometers, and blueprints, with emphasis on documentation, non-conforming material control, and collaboration with production teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Understand industry safety standards and quality expectations.
• 1+ years in a metal fabrication environment with continuous improvement QMS preferred.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Able to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic math skills including units of measure, rates, ratios and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, pin gages, surface plate, and height gage.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Perform visual inspection of product according to customer requirements.
• Inspect and test in-process and finished product.
• Document inspection results by completing required reports/logs.
• Identify and quarantine all non-conforming product.
• Generate and summarize non-conforming reports for discrepant products.
• Keep measurement equipment operating and address issues needing repair.
• Inspect and approve incoming materials meeting specifications.
• Attend department meetings as required.
