Job summary

Cadrex is seeking a Quality Inspector III to support site manufacturing through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts and methodologies. The role focuses on ensuring products meet customer quality expectations and supporting PPAP and 1st article activities.

The candidate will perform in-process and final inspections, document findings, and lead inspection training on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficient in visual inspection to meet customer requirements.
• Experience with PPAP and 1st article documentation preferred.
• Ability to train Level I/II inspectors.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, pin gages, surface plate, and height gage.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Visual inspection of product according to customer requirements.
• Inspect and/or test in-process and finished product.
• Document inspection results by completing reports/logs.
• Identify and quarantine non-conforming product.
• Generate and summarize non-conforming reports.
• Maintain measurement equipment and address issues.
• Inspect and approve incoming materials meeting specifications.
• Attend department meetings.
• Inspect and release products for shipping with proper documentation.
• Assist with dimensional verification of PPAP and 1st article parts.
• Create internal Control Plans per customer/Advanced Laser requirements.
• Support production with manufacturing documentation and proper measuring techniques.
• Collaborate on corrective actions for customer complaints and process failures.
• Lead and train Level I and II inspectors as needed.
• Train and implement lean processes and projects.
• Operate CMM.
