Job description

Quality Inspector

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to support verification and monitoring of the full production process, with responsibility for ensuring materials are identified correctly and manufactured within established timeframes while meeting quality standards at all times. This role works within the Quality Department and interfaces with suppliers, production equipment, and other departments to help maintain process control, resolve incidents quickly, and protect the end customer. The position also supports production order execution, finished and semi-finished goods dispatch, inventory balance control, and continuous improvement of production indicators such as OEE. Experience in production centers and supplier interaction is important, and prior steel manufacturing experience is preferred. Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred. Previous experience with micrometers and calipers is required.

Benefits
  • Pay range is between $20 and $30 per hour, depending on experience and assignment terms.
  • 1st and 2nd shifts are available for this position.

What You Will Do?
  • Verify and monitor the entire production process to ensure materials are manufactured, identified, and delivered within established timeframes.
  • Inspect all manufactured materials, identify incidents, and collaborate in resolving them as quickly as possible.
  • Supervise that all materials are properly labeled so they can be identified throughout each stage of the production process.
  • Check the condition of received MMPP and register them accurately in the system.
  • Execute production orders associated with each customer order and maintain correct system registration.
  • Supervise and coordinate dispatch of finished or semi-finished materials while resolving detected incidents.
  • Work with the quality department to ensure compliance with quality standards and protection of the end customer.
  • Support improvement of production indicators, including OEE, to help ensure equipment efficiency.
  • Maintain inventory balances for both MMPP and finished products.
Your Skills
  • Technical Engineering or Senior Technician training is required for this quality control and production support role.
  • English B2 proficiency is required to support daily communication and operational understanding.
  • Previous experience in production centers is required to perform effectively in this manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in dealing with suppliers is required to manage incidents and production coordination.
  • Previous experience with micrometers and calipers is required for inspection and measurement tasks.
  • Autocad, Industry 4.0, MS Project, SAP, and TABLEAU at intermediate level are required.
  • Previous steel manufacturing experience is preferred for this position.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred for communication with a broader range of stakeholders.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
