Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector to assure bottle quality by inspecting finished products on the line using automated equipment and visual inspection. The role requires adherence to customer specs, GMP compliance, and proper reporting of deviations.

Ideal candidates will have strong manual dexterity, near vision, and ability to lift up to 30 pounds. This is a 12-hour shift position with rotating days, requiring teamwork in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Qualifications

  • Must have manual dexterity and good near vision.
  • Ability to organize tasks in a logical sequence and follow procedures.
  • Be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand long shifts.
  • Knowledge of quality procedures and defect identification is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect bottles for defects using automated and manual tools.
  • Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform line changes per specifications and maintain GMP standards.
  • Identify and contain nonconforming products and initiate AVO/containment process.
  • Escalate safety concerns and shut down equipment if hazards are detected.

Inspection is performed using automated equipment, visual inspector, and customer requirements.Essential FunctionsProvide visual, aesthetic, and quantifiable inspection of productInsures product meets or exceeds customer’s specificationsInsures that line changes are performed according to specificationsPerforms SOR qualifications;Responsible for maintaining the Food Safety Program (GMP)Other duties as assignedPPE Required – Requirements are proper hearing protection, safety glasses (prescription if required), steel-toed shoes, hairnet, beard net (if employee has chin hair greater than 1/8 inch).Authorities:Perform essential functions and assigned duties while communicating any deviations from the requirements to managementReport any safety concerns to management and to shut down any equipment that presents a safety hazardTo identify a potential nonconforming situation and initiated AVO and/or begin the nonconforming Product process by containing and identifying product for reselectionQualification RequirementsManual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.Information Ordering - The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).Extent Flexibility - The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.Wrist-Finger Speed - The ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.Multilimbed Coordination - The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.Lifting Requirements - Ability to lift 30 pounds over head to total height of six feetWalking/Standing-Requirements ability to walk and or stand for 12 hours per day.Knowledge of quality procedures - Ability to discern quality defects and remove defected product from the line and/or contain the product according to established containment procedures and quality protocol. Knowledge of plastic bottle defect requirements and quality procedures.
