Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Production Assistant to support line operations, remove finished product from machines, and ensure packaging meets work orders. You will operate pallet jacks and forklifts, weigh and package rolls, and complete line paperwork while maintaining safety.

Must be able to read a tape measure, use a weigh scale, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for 12 hours on rotating 12-hour shifts including holidays and weekends. A High School diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read and use a tape measure and weigh scale.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; if over 50 lbs requires a team lift or mechanical aid such as a roll lift or forklift.
  • Must be able to stand for 12 hours.
  • Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shift including holidays and weekends.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, and rotate body at all times.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Remove finished product from machines and inspect quality to ensure packaging requirements are met as per work orders.
  • Operate pallet jacks and fork trucks to move products on the line.
  • Assist operators to minimize downtime during cleanups and maintenance.
  • Weigh and package rolls according to specifications and work orders.
  • Thread Line and complete paperwork accurately.
  • Maintain clean and safe aisles for product transfer and safety.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
