Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a Machine Operator in Orlando to perform repetitive production and packing operations, monitor quality, and support a safe manufacturing environment.

You will participate in setup, operate molding equipment, and document daily production activity while ensuring compliance with GMP/HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; or a 1-year technical certificate.
• Six months related experience or training acceptable.
• Ability to read simple words and numbers; print and speak basic sentences.
• Basic math for rate, ratio and percent calculations.
• Must complete Safety/OSHA training and adhere to GMP/HACCP standards.

Responsibilities

• Tends machines and monitors parts flow through assembly lines.
• Packs finished parts for shipping.
• Completes daily production and scrap reports.
• Notifies supervisor of quality issues or equipment needs.
• Performs setup and parameter changes to improve quality.
• Maintains safety and housekeeping in all work areas.

Job DescriptionSUMMARY Performs repetitive production and packing operations to mass-procedure products such as preforms by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.The Machine Operator has the responsibility to successfully complete the position training program found in the plant training manual.The Machine Operator has the authority to shut down production equipment to prevent the production of defective product. Has the authority to place Non-Conforming Product on Hold.Randomly checks parts produced every hour for any possible defects (including grease, flash, punctures, and other defects), to ensure that customer specifications are met.Places parts in specified relationship to each other.Monitors flow of parts into assembling machinery, secondary equipment, and storage containers.Tends machines, such as presses which perform in molding area, according to machine (product) standard.Works at different work stations as production needs require.Works on line where tasks vary, as parts of various sizes and shapes move along the line.Packs all parts which are of good quality into boxes, in preparation for sealing and shipping.Completes daily report of parts produced and any scrap parts which resulted, including downtime.Notifies Production Supervisor and Process Technician whenever items produced do not meet quality requirements, or if machinery need repair.Uses calculator to arrive at accurate calculations of different production-related data.Wears all required personal protective equipment.Maintains housekeeping of all work areas and equipment.Starts-up molds according to set-up sheet.Completes daily log of activities on an accurate and timely basis.Makes process and parameter changes to ensure the highest quality possible.Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.Starts devices to test their performance.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneQUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.SAFETY Must attend all required Safety/OSHA training classes.
