Job summary

Dealpath is evolving its quality approach as product AI-powered features come to the fore. You will lead a growing QE community, coach embedded Quality Engineers, and align quality across delivery teams in a hybrid San Francisco setting.

As a player-coach, you’ll stay close to technical work, define standards, and influence how we test AI-powered capabilities while shaping the culture and strategy with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in quality engineering or QA leadership.
• Hands-on testing with Playwright or Cypress.
• Experience guiding embedded QE teams or communities.
• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Study our people, process, and systems to spot where issues can be caught earlier and decide on changes (automation, process, tooling, or people).
• Define test strategy, release criteria, and tooling that every delivery team builds on.
• Coach embedded Quality Engineers, run QE community of practice, and set hiring bar.
• Review test design and code; build shared frameworks where the team needs them.
• Define how we test AI-powered features and coach the team on AI tools.
• Publish a scorecard of escape rates and trends for engineering leadership.
• Shape engineering strategy with the VP of Engineering on quality culture and direction.
