Job summary

CFA Institute seeks a visionary Quality Engineering leader to own end-to-end quality across multiple platform portfolios. You will partner with senior engineering and product leadership to embed quality at scale, balancing strategic ownership with technical credibility.

You will lead a QE organization, drive AI-driven testing, and champion Playwright/TypeScript automation while guiding hiring, capability planning, and career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 12+ years of quality engineering experience with 6+ years in people leadership.
• Proven track record mentoring senior engineers, tech leads and managers.
• Hands-on depth to read Playwright tests and review architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for quality across multiple platform portfolios, including automation and AI quality testing.
• Architect scalable QE practices, standards, and frameworks for cross-portfolio consistency.
• Define QE process standards, including planning, defect triage, SLAs, and release readiness.
• Lead and develop QE managers, senior engineers, tech leads, and contractors.
