Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager in San Diego, CA, to lead Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering across the organization. You will drive quality initiatives, engage cross-functionally from ideation to production, and manage budgets and teams.

Responsibilities include defining quality plans, leading root cause analysis, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements and industry standards such as AS9100.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
• 3+ years Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or Quality leadership experience.
• Experience with customer FRB activities and RCCA investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and review the work of professionals in Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering.
• Ensure cross-functional interaction between manufacturing, operations, and design during product planning and design phases.
• Develop and implement quality plans and programs per company procedures and standards.
• Review and verify compliance of all contractual flow-downs for quality tasks in proposals and ongoing contracts.
• Perform design gate reviews and facilitate design and concurrent Quality Engineering.
• Manage supplier performance and flow-down of quality requirements to subcontractors.
