Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in San Diego, CA is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to lead the Quality Engineering organization under a 9/80 schedule. The role focuses on driving quality initiatives across the product lifecycle, partnering with design, manufacturing, and supplier quality teams to embed quality early and sustain excellence.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing quality plans, leading inspections and RCAs, and ensuring compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
• 3+ years Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or Quality leadership experience.
• Experience with quality control processes, procedures, and policies.
• Experience with RCCA investigations and FRB activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and review the work of professionals in Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering.
• Develop and implement quality plans and programs promoting sound principles per standards and directives.
• Oversee program and project quality execution through reviews and risk assessments.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to address nonconformances.
• Drive early cross-functional engagement to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage budgets and an engineering organization including Supplier Quality Engineering.
