Job summary

Popular's Digital Banking Engineering team is seeking a Quality Engineering Supervisor to lead a hybrid team, drive quality strategies, and advance automation across web, mobile, API, and backend platforms. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to ensure scalable, reliable digital banking solutions.

The role emphasizes governance, release readiness, and AI-assisted testing, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years leading technology initiatives and delivering business-critical solutions.
• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience managing Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or Automation Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quality Engineers and Automation Engineers across local and offshore environments.
• Define and execute quality strategies, objectives, standards, and success metrics aligned with Digital Banking priorities.
• Establish governance models and quality controls to ensure consistent engineering practices across initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Operations teams to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Promote a quality-first culture through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
