Happen Bank seeks a Director of Quality Engineering & AI to lead QA across web/mobile applications, originations, and decisioning platforms. You will advance AI-enabled testing, improve automation, and certify releases while aligning with strict regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, cross-team collaboration, and risk-aware decision making. You will shape the quality engineering strategy, mentor engineers, and partner with Product, Platform, and Risk teams to deliver

Qualifications

• 10+ years of quality engineering or test automation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated leadership of a quality engineering org.
• Experience testing regulated financial systems (lending/banking) is a plus.
• Experience with AI, AI testing tools and strategies, including AI in testing.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy for Quality Engineering across Consumer Engineering, including AI-driven test automation.
• Lead and develop QA Engineers for web, mobile, originations, and decisioning systems.
• Bring deep test automation expertise to influence strategy and AI tooling usage.
• Maintain QA as the trusted release-approval gate with risk-based testing standards.
• Develop QA gates to reduce escaped defects with AI-assisted testing.
• Partner with Consumer Engineering leaders across Product, Platform, Risk, and business units to drive changes.
• Influence infra, automation, and CI/CD tooling to scale QA outcomes.
• Use delivery data to focus on high-impact problems.
