Electric Machinery Company, a Division Of WEG Electric Corp. in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Quality Intern to assist the Quality and Continuous Improvement teams. You will gain hands-on experience analyzing manufacturing processes, mapping value streams, and implementing layout improvements.

The role emphasizes Kaizen, shop-floor engagement, and data-driven problem solving. Ideal candidates are full‑time students pursuing BS or MS in Industrial/Quality Engineering/Management with 3.0+ GPA and Lean

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
• Pursuing BS (junior status or higher) or MS in Industrial or Quality Engineering/Management.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Identify and address process inefficiencies with Lean CI team.
• Engage with shop floor employees to find improvement opportunities.
• Participate in Kaizen events and lead small improvement projects.
• Support development and presentation of improvement results.
