Cleveland-Cliffs is offering a Quality Engineering Intern position at our East Chicago, IN site. You will assist in safety inspections, lab testing, and data analysis while gaining exposure to metallurgical processes and plant operations.

The internship targets students pursuing a BS in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or related fields, with at least sophomore standing by Summer 2027. You will work under experienced engineers and may be considered for future full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a BS program in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemistry or related technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly safety inspections and safety observations for Metallurgical Department.
• Manage workflow in the mechanical and chemical test lab.
