Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern in Dearborn, MI. The role supports the Metallurgical lab, safety programs, calibration tasks, and data-driven investigations that improve steel production workflows.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a BS program in materials science, metallurgy or chemistry.
• Complete sophomore year by summer 2027.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly safety inspections and safety observations.
• Manage workflow in the mechanical and chemical test lab.
• Calibrate test equipment and maintain lab facilities.
• Data-mining investigations on metallurgical grade performance and chemistry.
• Maintain tracking of steelmaking scrap and 3rd party testing inspections.
• Support Metallurgical investigations and maintenance.
