Job summary

James Hardie Building Products Inc. is offering a 12-week summer internship in the United States to gain hands-on experience in quality and process engineering.

You will work on inline automated inspection development for decking and participate in data analysis to drive manufacturing improvements. Qualified students must be enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s program, with a 3.0+ GPA, and availability to work full-time for 12 weeks in summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Anticipated graduation between December 2027 and May 2029 (rising senior/junior).
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Available to work full-time for 12 weeks during summer 2027.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support inline automated inspection development for decking.
• Assist with testing, data collection, and evaluation of inspection capabilities.
• Analyze inspection and process data using statistical methods.
• Document findings and improvement opportunities for the project team.
• Collaborate with Quality, Process Engineering, Operations, and Capital Engineering.
