Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a summer intern to contribute to the expansion of inline automated inspection capabilities in decking manufacturing. You will work with the Senior Quality Engineer and cross-functional partners to develop inspection methods, gather data, and assess performance.

The role requires a rising senior/junior pursuing a relevant engineering degree, a 3.0+ GPA, and full-time availability for 12 weeks in Summer 2027. Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in a relevant discipline with anticipated graduation between December 2027 and May 2029 (rising senior/junior).
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Available to work full-time for 12 weeks during summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support the expansion of inline automated inspection capabilities with the Senior Quality Engineer and cross-functional partners.
• Analyze inspection data using statistical methods and document findings.
• Collaborate with Quality, Process Engineering, Operations, and Capital Engineering to advance inspection capability.
