James Hardie Building Products Inc. is offering a 12‑week, paid Engineering Intern position in Pulaski, VA. This onsite internship focuses on finishing process improvement, Lean methods, and data analysis.

You will learn the Finishing and Heritage lines, shadow operators, and contribute to standard work documentation. You must be enrolled in an applicable bachelor’s program with a 3.0+ GPA, able to work full‑time in summer 2027, and authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field with an anticipated graduation between December 2027 and May 2029.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Available to work full‑time for 12 weeks during summer 2027.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Learn the Finishing and Heritage lines end to end; shadow operators and build trust.
• Comply with safety policies and demonstrate a strong safety mindset.
• Support the Continuous Improvement Engineer in assigned activities.
• Gather and analyze data, conduct time studies, and identify waste-elimination opportunities.
• Draft or update standard operating procedures or work instructions.
