Job summary

Wolfspeed in Marcy, NY is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support the quality management system across manufacturing and supplier quality for the Mohawk Valley Fab. You will collaborate with internal Quality and Operations teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.

This role requires a strong engineering background in semiconductor manufacturing, experience with IATF16949/ISO9001, and excellent communication and project management skills; familiarity with data tools

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Physics.
• 3–5 years in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Knowledge of quality systems and wafer fabrication.
• Fast-paced, dynamic environment with ability to execute at detail and strategy levels.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, AS9100 or ISO9001 preferred.
• Basic understanding of FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC is a plus.
• Independent, self-motivated and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customer quality engineers on complaints and returns; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support the manufacturing quality processes at the Marcy site including change and non-conformance management.
• Evaluate supplier PCNs and issue SCARs with fab engineers; support supplier and incoming quality processes.
• Develop relationships with factory and business unit leadership.
