Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support quality and manufacturing engineering processes, including development of production documents, process improvements, maintenance, and elimination of nonconformance.

The role emphasizes Lean principles, CAD familiarity, and collaboration across teams to ensure equipment runs at full capacity and delivers quality output. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and on-site work 5 days a week.

Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD processes preferred.
  • Familiar with Lean philosophy.
  • Proficient with basic computer tools (email, internet, MS Word, MRP).
  • Able to read and comprehend safety rules, blueprints and drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork oriented.
  • Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willing to participate in ongoing personal and job development.

Responsibilities

  • Create and review work instructions and standard work documents for line functions.
  • Ensure equipment runs at full capacity and produces quality output.
  • Use Lean philosophy to troubleshoot production issues and drive improvements.
  • Support Lean initiatives like RIEs, JDIs, and 9-Step Problem Solving.
  • Help eliminate internal and supplier nonconformance and support field reliability initiatives.
  • Assist with prototype builds and production teardown as needed.
  • Perform tests as directed to support component approval or nonconformance elimination.
  • Document downtime and review root cause analyses to improve preventive/predictive programs.
