Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and maintain QMS procedures within a manufacturing environment. You will support the shop floor, analyze defects, and lead cross-functional corrective actions to enhance product quality and process efficiency.

Responsibilities include MRB, Deviations, NCM handling, and CAPA execution, leveraging tools like 5-Whys, DMAIC, and A3. A strong background in ERP/PLM/QMS systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technologies.
• Minimum 5 years Quality Engineering in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience implementing and improving a QMS in ISO-like environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of APQP principles and quality tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management procedures and instructions.
• Provide daily Quality Engineering support on the shop floor and at meetings.
• Analyze defects trends and produce KPI charts/reports.
• Participate in MRB, Deviations, and NCM processes and disposition input.
• Drive CAPAs and root-cause analysis using 5-Whys, DMAIC, 8D, and related tools.
• Support continuous improvements and process optimizations.
• Maintain periodic summaries of key quality issues.
