Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead supplier qualifications and quality programs on-site. You will drive PFMEA/Control Plan development, support in-house manufacturing, and push for defect reduction across the supply chain.

The role requires 3-5 years of manufacturing quality experience, expertise in lean/QMS tools, and familiarity with PPAP/APQP processes. CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3-5 years in quality engineering within manufacturing required.
  • Experience with lean, QMS, and customer engagement practices preferred.
  • CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute component qualifications for new suppliers at a product quality level.
  • Report quality data to influence business results; manage Mfg Quality Gemba & MDI processes for SMT with visual metrics.
  • Maintain PFMEA, Control Plan, and Quality ABCs across the supply chain from supplier to customer.
  • Support in-house manufacturing to maximize product quality and reliability.
  • Champion the reduction of customer complaints and warranty costs.
  • Benchmark processes and drive best practices across the organization.
  • Participate in New Product Development, leading PFMEA, Control Plan, and PPAP processes.
