Job summary

Associated Materials Innovations, a North American manufacturer of exterior building products, seeks a Quality Engineer to lead day-to-day quality operations on the production lines, drive process improvement, and maintain ISO 9001 compliance.

You will partner with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain to reduce defects, improve yield, and coach the team in problem solving and SPC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering or related field
• 2+ years in quality or manufacturing
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to influence Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain
• Safety-first mindset
• Proficient with SPC, PFMEA, control plans, and problem-solving tools
• ASQ certifications or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
• Experience with LPA and visual management
• Willing to work off-shifts or weekends

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality controls across lines/shifts and ensure inspections meet plans
• Maintain ISO 9001 compliance and support audits
• Own NCRs, MRB decisions, and product hold/release processes
• Lead problem solving (8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys) and CAPA effectiveness
• Drive standardization of control plans and visual standards
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain
• Monitor SPC data and product quality to drive improvements
• Maintain records in QMS/MES/ERP and update SOPs
• Support customer/supplier interface and root cause investigations
