Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Industrial/Mechanical or related field.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specs and GD&T requirements.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Experience with inspection activities (FAI, in-process audits, final inspections).
• Strong knowledge of AIAG, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality initiatives across manufacturing, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to drive product quality.
• Investigate customer complaints, quality issues, and nonconformances using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage customer corrective actions and support audits, visits, and other quality activities.
• Partner with production, engineering, and operations to improve processes and reduce defects.
• Oversee nonconforming material processes, including MRB, dispositions, rework approvals, and releases.
• Support supplier quality efforts, including corrective actions, audits, material returns, and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation (Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, inspection procedures, PPAPs).
• Support new product introductions and process changes by ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to resolve quality and inspection issues.
• Conduct quality analyses (capability studies, Gage R&R, SPC) and drive continuous improvement.
