Job summary

Hitchiner Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to drive product quality, process capability, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers to meet stringent requirements while improving efficiency and strengthening quality systems.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree and 4–10 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or process engineering are expected, with strong knowledge of ISO 9001,

Qualifications

  • Inspections for final product and incoming materials; maintain customer and regulatory documentation.
  • Perform internal and supplier audits per ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949, and AS910; ensure compliance.
  • Manage nonconforming material and determine disposition (rework, deviation, scrap).
  • Prepare customer approval packages including PPAP, MRB, and first article documentation.
  • Support Six Sigma initiatives and corrective actions with structured problem solving (8D preferred).
  • Execute statistical analyses including MSA, capability studies, DOE, SPC, PFMEA, and control plans.
  • Reduce scrap and rework by identifying root causes and improving process capability.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes through equipment specifications, method improvements, and new process introductions.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and develop suppliers to ensure product and facility compliance.
  • Define incoming inspection requirements and ensure corrective actions for purchased material.
  • Interpret engineering requirements including drawings, PO specs, and engineering changes.
  • Lead targeted improvement projects to enhance product quality and process performance.
  • Provide technical liaison between Production Planning, Engineering, and customers.

Who You Are..
  • ..Associate or Bachelor’s degr
