Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Toledo is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality expectations. You will lead structured investigations, drive corrective actions, and partner with operations, environmental, and supply chain teams to prevent repeat issues.

Ideal candidates have a technical degree and experience in quality engineering, with strong communication skills and a data-driven mindset for process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Experience in quality engineering or related roles.
• Ability to lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems and data-based problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analyses for customer complaints and recurring quality issues.
• Own or support Product Stewardship activities including containment and verification of effectiveness.
• Evaluate quality risks, regulatory considerations, and life-cycle impacts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align product decisions with safety and customer expectations.
• Analyze production, lab, and customer data to identify trends and reduce defects.
• Develops and coaches Operations on quality procedures and inspection criteria.
• Support customer complaint investigations, audits, and product stewardship reviews.
• Coach teams on disciplined problem solving and evidence-based decisions.
