Job summary

Colonial Group in Carrollton, TX seeks a Quality Engineer to guide operations, engineering, and manufacturing in building and inspecting UL 508A panels, ensuring compliance with customer specs, workmanship standards, and applicable codes.

You will develop and maintain processes, inspection plans, and documentation, lead audits, drive continuous improvement, and act as the quality resource for corrective actions, with strong decision-making authority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years related experience in industrial control panel manufacturing.
• ASQ CQE and/or CQA preferred; UL 508A knowledge highly desirable.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality and process improvement projects across operations and engineering.
• Develop and maintain inspection plans, process controls, and build documentation.
• Audit internal processes for ISO 9001 and UL 508A compliance; support customer audits.
• Provide technical support on quality expectations, labeling, and compliance.
